Project

First Flush was the result of a pitch by Teekanne in 2012 for the design development of a tea capsule machine for the home.

The concept deliberately positions itself diametrically opposed to coffee culture and focuses on deceleration and sensuality as well as Asian aesthetic references.

Curved lines inspired by Asian architecture, tactilely interesting surfaces and sensual materials underline the contemplative character of the ceremonial tea culture.
