The Vision Assistant from ifm electronic presents a new approach to programming sensors. The operating software for the company's own 3D sensors and cameras is characterized by its particular user-friendliness - implemented by the ifm UX department. A tailor-made icon set was developed for seamless integration into the operating logic and design.

The user interface of the Vision Assistant is reminiscent of modern smartphones. With a click on the corresponding button, the assistant searches for connected sensors. Alternatively, the user can also link these to the program by manually entering the IP address. Once a sensor is selected, the assistant starts the so-called wizard, which offers three applications: completeness check, object measurement and fill level. The assistant guides the user through the settings of the applications.
